My name is Justin Erikson, an aspiring radio enthusiast based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I obtained my basic and advanced radio exams in November 2021.
My fascination with radio communications started in my childhood. Growing up in a small coastal town, all our communications came via radio or microwave tower. I still remember the days I spent staring through a borrowed telescope at the green radio cones and the billboard-like microwave reflectors on the mountain tops high over Gold River. Those moments ignited an interest in radio and electronics that still burns brightly to this day.
I am currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and look forward to diving deeper into the world of radio communications. My particular interest lies in digital communications and its numerous possibilities.
